I am thankful to my family for introducing me to the practice of yoga in childhood, and also recognize that this practice has ancient roots in a culture that is not mine. I respectfully intend to honor the 8 Limbs of Yoga to the best of my ability, with awareness that the yoga I teach is a Westernized version that can never replicate the practices or lifestyles of the original yogis.
